Cool, looking forward to receiving them.

Will you be listing the parts kits on your store like the boards?

Don't work too hard sorting the parts, I still need to dismantle the donor board and then find a falcon ram board before I get mine done.

The Eagle has Landed.... or rather my PCB has arrived.

Looks even better in person and for some reason, now I have it in my hands, doesn't look quite as large a job as I first thought. (Famous last words!)

Mine's arrived too, just need time to strip the donor board now.

Wondering what peoples thoughts are re fitting of the DIL packaged chips?

I was going to use a socket for pretty much everything as it makes it easier to recover later if things go south (I'm sure they won't), but soldering directly would also give a better connection.

Well I am shipping sockets for them all anyway. Problem is, if a chip gets red hot , then unsoldering it will be a pain.. also if something is wrong somewhere, might need leg bending, track cutting etc...

Soldering direct is best for sure, but not a good idea on a test board..

Yeah I'd planned to go the socket route for as much as possible. Even things like oscillators if possible.

My soldering skills are much better than my desoldering skills, so sockets for me would be a must every time.

I've no problem with recycling the old DIL chips if they are working fine.
