Looking good - looks as if the MFP in the PLCC package is pretty much the only package change (other than the various logic/level shifters...most of which will be pre-fitted)?
I think there is just the LS02 and MAX238 not fitted.

Great... should be a much easier build than the H4 then!
Awaiting your BOM with interest...and hope there aren't any more issues with the boards!

There's a rule that every board has to have at least 1 bodge wire

I am thinking the dip MFP may be put back on this series.. Because SMT parts were going to be assembled elsewhere, which won't happen because covid hit... Plus I wanted to save some PCB space for some other stuff, which won't happen now either. Partly I branched to the legacy board now anyway. So I doubt the H series will progress much more as its intended as a development platform not a final release board like the legacy board will.

Just seen the post about the A3 fix...which makes your comment above seem strangely prophetic!

There is a typo on the silk screen as it says A3 but the board is actually A5 .. The filenames I started to put in the bottom left of the board which does actually state A5... Useless info really..
Anyway, I guess the current batch of 30 are the "early bird" boards. I've done the track fix , so now on revision A7 and the MFP will be a socketed PLCC. These chips are plentiful from china, or tested from my store.
It may be better to see how the current batch of boards go, before I order the second batch in a couple months time. This way any fixes can be done before next production..
I suggest people get the MAX238 from mouser... As farnell are over twice the price.. Will try and start the BOM this week.. With the bulk of the parts assembled already, I don't think its going to be that big anyway.. Bulk of parts come from a doner machine or my store as did the H4..
