Interesting, still needs a oscillator crystal by the looks of it. Can't remember how easy they are to find. Though as I got a few 100 made anyway.. :)

I'm using a Si5351 PLL/VCXO in one of my Atari XEs as a substitute for the missing 14.18757 MHz crystal.

With a microcontroller and software to initialize the PLL via I²C after each power-up? Or did you order pre-programmed parts from SiLabs?

Unfortunately with an ATMeaga 328P doing an initialization over I2C. But having an Arduino Pro Mini inside your 8-bit Atari might be useful. I just initialize the PLL, and shut down the ATMega into deep sleep. Computer's power on reset is long enough for ATMega to initialize the PLL before reset ends.
