DrF wrote: Tue Oct 20, 2020 10:34 am Other thing I noticed is "Glasgow (city of), Glasgow" appears a lot same with "Edinburgh (city of), Edinburgh" anyone got any info on that?
Glasgow is a county in its own right and also city. e.g. like North Lanarkshire.

My personal fav address related joke is that my parents live in (and i used to live in ) HS2 XXX.. and there is a lot of fuss in the news about HS2 costing too much
That makes more sense, Google told me nothing, kept sending me to Glasgow council.

I knew I would get the answer here, it's like when you try and use a Scottish note in Tescos a random Scottish person suddenly appears from nowhere and gives everyone a bollocking, its great :D

Can people who are ordering outside of the UK please not abbreviate or only put your initials for your first and last name. Unfortunately such items cannot be shipped because since the Royal mail cyber attacks, they require the your first and last name to enter onto the system.

Some orders we have just had to guess at names, so if you put "A" for your first name, you will get called Andy. But obviously this is going to confuse people along the way. So can people please write your name in full.

Lol, choose really weird names like 'Aberlone Bogglesworth' if they do A.B.

Put Biggest Dickus?
Will that fly?
Actually I edited the autofill.
When the buffer board arrived, it had the address format for the US address perfect. Then looking at this order confirmation, it still read correctly.
Won't even bother to check tracking for 6 weeks though
Thanks for posting!

Not sure which fill you are referring to. I think Chrome screws up a lot of the autofill. This is why I suggest people just put it in their profile and be logged in to the forum on checkout because then it will use your profile information on checkout.

I had to reprogram a chunk of my store a while back to add a new "idiot" button to the store orders pages which Dawn uses for shipping. .

So when the address is incomprehensible or wrong etc she can click the idiot button and it updates the tracking page and forces them to re-enter their address and resubmit it. This is all done automatically so I don't have to get involved!

Still a total PITA though the amount of unnecessary additional work it all causes me just because people can't spend 2 seconds to check their info

Under the continued address lines, think it was State was included, as well as being at the bottom of the form.
I'll check my account, think it's all there though from previous purchases.
When you'd sent the buffer, you never asked for an address and it got here.
