Sadly I was ~70% EU customers. I halted all sales mid December (pre "deal"). The knock on is that UK + USA volumes are too low for me to be viable so likely I will stop developing & selling Amiga completely.
For bigger companies it is easy... open an EU office and trade through that (current advice from the UK government).
Ah sux
wish I could help but I'm in the UK anyway.
People buying from my store would really have to buy £100+ with of stuff. As 20% tax is £20, plus for arguments sake £10 admin fees, makes £100 package subject to 30% costs.
I know people buy my stuff and sell on eBay in France etc, but they add a lot on top already, it would still be cheaper for them to pay taxes from my store than buy on eBay, but a lot of people never look outside of eBay. But so it seems, eBay are now charging 20% , so maybe it will motivate some people to look elsewhere..
Even "group buy" by say 2 france customers could share the costs, but then they would have to post to the other buyer in France so I don't think it would be much cheaper anyway.. Plus if that package gets damaged, I will likely get the blame even though I didn't ship the second package
There could be a reseller in France for my stuff, but this has been a problem since day 1, nobody wants to bulk buy items and take the risk of stuff selling. I don't have much stock overall, but its value is over £35,000! I don't make much profit on items and its all money I am out of pocket by. So a reseller would have to charge some profit on top like 50% or more, but it would be pointless as it would be cheaper for people to just buy from my store and just pay the taxes.
So a EU distributor just would not work. It would still be cheaper for people to buy from my store. If people want stuff they will just have to pay tax like I do. I spend thousands on import taxes each year
