Flying Shark level corruption on both FlashFloppy and HxC
I'm experiencing Flying Shark level corruption on both FlashFloppy and HxC firmwares for my Gotek Floppy Emulator.
In Steem, there's no corruption at all. So I was wondering if this game could be sensitive to timings being different from a physical FDD. I suppose that Steem emulates the original timings quite right.
I haven't tried to run it from a physical FDD yet but I suspect that it's going to run fine that way.
Has anyone seen this type of problem before? Just curious...

Actually, Steem's floppy timing is not that good at all. Not even with Pasti always. Maybe you use Steem SSE ?
Can you post image you using ?

Yeah, I'm using Steem SSE.
I can't really post the image though, that would be illegal

Come on ... I want to check exactly the image you using. I have this game, so no need to search for.

I've just tried a different image and that one's just fine. Funny how this can make a difference, but not in Steem. Perhaps some cracker loader that's timing sensitive.
Re: Flying Shark level corruption on both FlashFloppy and HxC
In STeEM SSE you can choose between "fast" and "accurate" FDD emulation, so you may try on your own if timings do matter. Also STeEM SSE has a higher priority for games to run right than to accurately emulate the hardware.

This image seems as not well made - for instance it asks to insert floppy B, while all is on 1 disk.
