My SR98 is outputting 5.05V, so be about the same as my "exxos psu"...

I will try running the ST + FPGA board on other voltages when I get home from work tomorrow.

Thought I would give this a go too.

So I started at 4.3V and although my floppy failed to work the board dropped to the desktop and has been sat there stable. No resets.

Of course I can’t load anything as the floppy is not recognised at that voltage.

Will start to up the voltage to see when resetting starts

Now that is interesting.

Icky, did you try a 4700uF across the shifter power rails ?

4.4V and I started getting resets not as many as I normally get.

Have gone back down to 4.3V managed to get my Gigafile working with it and am currently running GEMBench and it’s gone through one loop without resetting.

Currently have a 1000uF across the rails.

So any voltage for me above 4.3V up to 5V and the board resets. I didn’t go any higher.

Staring to sound like ringing or noise on a signal somewhere. Or indeed gnd bound across the FPGA board s even,

This gives me hope that I might be able to reproduce the issue here, by using a different power supply. Excellent!

Would be interesting to see how troed’s behaves at different voltages. See if he can replicate the same behaviour I am experiencing.

Still at 4.3V and on 5th loop now in GEMBench and no resets.
