I've grabbed a TOS Rom Module from the Exxos store and I'm planning to do a festive firmware version for the TF530.

I will reuse a pin from the SPI port on the TF530r2/3 and decode the ROM for y'all.

I'll also make it part of the standard firmware set. Thank Exxos for nagging me on this one :)

:bravo:

I wonder if you could do a "bare bones" ST firmware, just thinking I can look it over see if I can spot anything (assuming there is still some odd issues)

Yeah I can do that. Where is the best place to plonk the fast ram?

I would disable it for a bare bones version.. lets just get the CPU itself happy before adding other stuff.

In that case its just the code for the Bus CPLD. everything in there is needed except for the ata.v module.

Wiping some Roms ... gonna try EmuTOS on the ST later. Any particular vintage better than another?

I think the TF530 is not the best choice for the ST. A5 is not wired up to the bus CPLD. Which means no IDE without a mod.

A5 is wired up on the TF534. Which was always aimed more at the ST.

I guess later versions the better.. I never really used it..

Why not just use TOS206 as its the thing which is mostly used anyway.

TF, I have a 530 I got from you via eBay, I've only done the sockets so far but intended to use it on an ST. Am I better to quit whilst ahead and get a 534 from you?
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

TBH i'd build the thing since its already half built. The sockets are the worst bit.

Then i'd buy a TF534 from one of the "gang" when its out.... or wait for a TF538....
