Got to say that I followed your guide for both approaches as I had the USB to serial lead handy & the USB A to A lead was in transit...both were really useful & easy to follow.
Thankyou :) I'm glad they were of use to you.

Hopefully going to add another bit in to cover 3d printed mounts :)

I have used your guide with the last one I did, the two occasions before that I watched a video on you tube but the amount of times I rewound it! I'm old fashioned and prefer it written then I can try and digest it, videos are ok but I prefer stills. Thats two more things, I had been meaning to sort a switch out so I can boot from the external drive and have a game of carrier command
Atari 2600, XEGS, STF/FM/E MSTE/TT CBM 16/64 VC20 PET A500, 600, 1200, BBC B, ZX81, ZX +3 Harlequin ZXuno plus too much junk to fit in one skip! my username should be Mr Hoarder.

Glad I could be of help :) I much prefer things written as well, much easier to go back to the last point you got to successfully.

Much nicer here, everybody bundles in together to enjoy the retro community. :)
Exactly . I think I speak for a lot of people here when they can totally relate to what I posted above. A friendly community which is how things are supposed to be..
"Hear, Hear"

Only place I hang out. One big happy retro family :)
