We can all agree that a ZX81 is a great doorstop though right?
Yes. And no. Worthless but cool somehow. At least as an historical artifact. I'm on the lookout for a Spectrum 48k, but that's at least a bit more useful than a ZX81
Edit: But the doorstop anecdotes are hilarious.
A kludge is a workaround or quick-and-dirty solution that is clumsy, inelegant, inefficient, difficult to extend and hard to maintain.

I have a 48K+ but the keyboard membrane needs replaced.
I want a 128K Toaster job.

48 Plus keyboard. Lovely feel like pressing dead mouse belly.
Lovely quality of membranes which were made of best quality rice paper. I guess words "Spectrum" and "Quality" should never been used in the same sentence.
Do not trust people. They are capable of greatness.
