Nice. Love seeing kit with floppy drives on the front. When are you going to mod and upgrade the floppy to a Gotek ;)

No need for the floppy. The analyzer uses HP-UX as an operating system which allows you to use windows as a remote desktop. It also has a NFS so file access is easy. So in essence you don't even need the screen on the instrument. They also make one without a screen (HP-16700A). Since the box is quite large you really only need access to the back and cables.

Just a quick note for those who want to diagram as the second half of the bottom. I hauled out the alpha remake and check that everything was working and the diagram wouldn't startup while tostados 1.04 worked fine. The diagram worked fine last time I used it. So the only deference was when it was in use I had the serial port connected. Well that was it... If you don't have the serial port connected and its running the terminal emulator it hangs on startup. Don't see this as a problem other than one cane fooled if they expect a video display without something connected to the serial port.

It does take a really long time to get going as well anyway. Was like 30+ seconds I think even to get to flashing screen.

I don't remember if I had the serial port connected or not though.

Well that's interesting. I tried again without the serial connection and after 45 seconds the screen starts flashing many times... then I get garbage displayed, then startup info, and finally after 1:04 I get the diagram main menu. Nice to know.. it will work without serial just need some patience. :D :D :D

Ya, I bet it was part of the issue when I attempted to use it originally. I expected it to come up quickly as the atari diagram cart and didn't wait long enough. My two weak points, assuming and lack of patience.
