Re: ST-IDE-ROM Dev Board v1 - BETA Testers
I've ordered 68r ones but will put resistors in instead then.
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

Build time for No1(RHS) about 1.5 hours, and No2(LHS) about 30-40 minutes.
Having a guide always helps the process

Gotta say @Icky It was nice just working through it, just a shame I have to wait for some of the parts.
Got an STFM to upgrade to 1MB this afternoon and another DRAM tester to build too.

Rubber Jonnie... pretty strange trying to catch up with ya.. Still waiting on everything. Deliveries have slowed lately but I'm hoping to finish things this coming week. I believe when everything shows I'll have all the parts.. but history says otherwise.rubber_jonnie wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2020 12:41 pmGotta say @Icky It was nice just working through it, just a shame I have to wait for some of the parts.

Re: ST-IDE-ROM Dev Board v1 - BETA Testers
@PaulJ Yeah, I never really thought of that. Thing is, I normally have karate 3 times a week, and today was supposed to be a grading, which I usually help officiate at, but that's all closed for the time being, so all my efforts are going into the Atari stuff, which is nice for a change. I'm kind of lucky that I have multiple hobbies, so this one has kind of taken off a bit while the others are in the background.
My other hobby is shooting, but TBH that's usually a once a month thing anyway so doesn't buy me much time back if I don't go.
Deliveries seem ok here, but I guess I'll have to wait and see as things progress.

Re: ST-IDE-ROM Dev Board v1 - BETA Testers
Yeah, a focused @rubber_jonnie can be a scary thing.. who would have guessed what heights he could achieve. To dilute the water since I'm out of Atari stuff to build I've been playing with the 3d printer which works well. Have dedicated a room to printing. What do you use to design objects? Since the printer is approximately eight meters away from my main computer as the cable runs has anyone successfully run a long usb cable over five meters and got it function properly. I've exceeded ethernet maximums a number of times with no adverse effects but USB maybe a different animal. Looking into some usb extenders that convert from USB->ethernet->USB. Appears to be the best answer. Also any recommended 3d cad program? I've been playing with tinkered and it maybe all I need since my needs are modest at this point.
