Not a bad few hours work.

Built up the secret and it works...... mostly.... details to follow soon.

Then replaced the bus pull-ups on my new Mega, socketed the CPU, removed the bitter patch (not required for this glitter) and then socketed the Shifter.

I've got an exxos 4mb ram upgrade, so maybe tomorrow evening it'll get a nice 4mb upgrade.

Strangely this Mega has a VLSI V1772 and its been socketed. I've never seen this on another Mega and it looks to be factory fitted as well. Odd that just the 1772 was socketed.

I've got one one the way. One of the ones which fits under the PSU.

It's the first part of the upgrade of the machine to the TF536. One step at a time.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

@stephen_usher the one im fitting is the one that sits on top of the MMU and shifter. Although I might have some ram chips somewhere to do it by changing the 8 256k chips.

I did have a look at that but in the STFM it would take up the height and space I'm planning on put the TF536 in.

What type of machine are you planning on putting you TF in?

I'm definitely going to try to build an all-in-one board which incorporates derkom's dual CPU design along with dualtos ROM and decode circuitry and relocates the TF into the space next to the shifter can, south of the power supply. That should all fit and allow the top shield to fit too.

If I get it to work I'll send you one. I was wondering if in TF mode it should be TOS 2.06 and 68000 mode TOS 1.04 only. What do you think?
