These kits..

Were rushed out the door, so never got finished off properly. Though I did get the fixed PCBs made...

Though with (hopefully) Trudie 5.1 coming soon (built and tested) I am not sure if people want more IDE kits or not ?

I can't remember but they had TOS2.06 decoder on them as well, right? And TOS switch?

They can use 206 or 104, via a jumper on the board.

I bought two of them (one for each H4) to use for the extra ROM decode as much as the IDE...but alas I've not had the time to finish building them up yet...

Love the idea behind them...I guess the time lag until Trudie is available (and any price difference) will be the choice for most forum members...

Yep, cheap & self assembly, or expensive and pre-built (and smaller).

Ah, now that 'smaller' might be the deciding factor for many upgrading existing machines! ;)

My V1.1c works lovely in my Mega 4 with Emutos 1.0 and TOS 2.06.

Can't fault it, I have 4 altogether, two originals and two compact models. Gotta love the ROM decode :)
Collector of old Atari things:
800XL + Ultimate 1MB, 2x 1010 cassette, 1050 + Happy mod, 65XE (128k +APE Warp) & XC12, SIO2SD, 2600jr, 7800 and Lynx II
Atari 520ST (1Meg), 1040STF long button floppy, 2x 1040 STFMs + Gotek, 2x 4160STE with 32Mhz booster, ROM switcher, Mega ST1, Mega ST4, not to mention various bare ST boards for testing including a PAK 68/2 :)
Plus the rest..
Amiga stuff, Mac stuff, Sinclair stuff etc...

Yes please, I need (want) TOS 2.06 and IDE for a MegaST or two and this would be ideal.

The other option for this (and possibly less work if your Mega doesn't have the processor already socketed) might be a Megabus adaptor with IDE & ROM decode...@rubber_jonnie has a working design of this (based on the ppera version?).

Note that I'm not trying to put people off the wonderful @exxos kit... :hide: ...just offering another option (given how fragile some of these Mega's can be).

This is why you need a H4 ;)
