If you speak to @chucky you can return it for a known working one. My guess is there is bad solder joint on something else that wasnt used by the old beta.voscoboss wrote: ↑Mon Dec 20, 2021 1:40 pm I'm at a total loss as to why my amiga isn't booting with the new firmware(s). Hanging reset line doesn't seem to be the issue. Probably something wrong with my setup, as it seems I'm the only one with a reAmiga board and this issue.
Back to beta for now. Will investigate further once I have another Amiga and/or other PSU to test with.

If any of you are using Scalos, it's a doddle to setup a wee right click drop down menu, to change the speed on the fly, looks nice to
.
.
"I've seen things you people wouldn't ken, I've seen motors on fire, on the shoulder near Kinryan, I have watched vejazels glitter in the dark, at the black Trongate, awe these moments, will be lost in time, like beers ... when I'm hame. Time to fry"

Another nice touch would be an environment variable for the CPUspeed so under 3.2 it could be shown in the titlebar, just as a reminder as to what speed you are currently running (sorry for drifting off topic a little).

Unfortunately new FW with rev. 5 68060 is very unstable.
Only 50MHz works.
Is it possible to check if FW upgrade was successful?

Not every CPU likes to be overclocked... 50 Mhz is the only guarantee, all the rest is a bonus.amiga-peter wrote: ↑Mon Dec 20, 2021 4:56 pm Unfortunately new FW with rev. 5 68060 is very unstable.

Re: TF1260 New Firmware Alpha Released!
Can I chime in and say here that I thought I had a problem with my Rev 5 when it would not up clock any higher than 50mhz. Anything above 50 would crash, but there was a reason...... I was using the wrong version of CPUSPEED. Very important to check. I am not a dumb arse, but I was just too excited and overlooked this step. Once I used the new version of CPUSPEED, I had success in changing speed.amiga-peter wrote: ↑Mon Dec 20, 2021 4:56 pm Unfortunately new FW with rev. 5 68060 is very unstable.

Re: TF1260 New Firmware Alpha Released!
I have a Rev 5 and it is picky with CF cards, with the Cheapo one is like yours it only runs at 50mhz but with a Quality Transend it runs at 63mhz no probs,
So make sure you try a couple of different CF cards as our Amiga`s can be `Funky` with some CF `s
And as Matt says make sure you have replaced the CPUSPEED program that comes with the Firmware with the one already on your system ( Normally found in C: )

@terriblefire
i was wondering if you could get more into the technical detail why overclocking fails at some clocks with the current state of the FW?
I find it interesting that only 50MHz, 84MHz and 100MHz work stable on my machine, while almost everybody can clock his card to 66MHz but mine fails.
Does the A1200s all have crappy and slightly different timing or what's the secret behind this behavior?
Thank you!
