Interesting TT Project for Someone

Post by Icky » Mon Feb 10, 2020 9:04 pm

There are 3x TT motherboards forsale on eBay but they have track damage and chips missing.

Might be an interesting project for someone.

The first one that is already sold looked pretty complete but the two remaining look like Russ had a go at'em. :( :(

I think the PCB are scrap because there are some SMD pads off and the missing chips costs a lot from BEST.

They have probably been used as donors to some degree when found not working. That's all they would be good for now, as donors.

I did think about it, but for the price it was a bit too much of a risk, especially with the missing chips. I saw the pad damage too which also put me off.

3 Machines I doubt I'll ever get:

Mega STE
TT
Falcon

Makes me sad :(

Its possible to buy them all @rubber_jonnie but they would cost a small fortune.

And if I did buy them all, I expect it would blow my retro budget for several years and may result in some of my retro priviledges and possibly my head removed by my other half!!

:sigh:
