Dang it... My little bench PSU has died :( I had a power supply on test for about 10 minutes, turned it off, went for food, came back in the voltage had magically gone up to 25V  It seems under load's down to the correct voltage.. But then overcurrent just goes right up to 5amps and nothing happens

So brought out the big guns my Voleq 10010, 100V 10amps jobbie.. Let's see if this thing dies

So now I need to take apart by small power supply and fix it

Almost finished testing these 18.. One isn't working, but will fix that another time..

I do need to pack them in boxes, and sort out the primary windings yet.. But I hope these will start appearing in my web store in about a weeks time :)

I've got about 40 more PSU's coming on Monday. That will be it for the current batch. I need to test them all out, so will take a few days.

I will also solder the Falcon PSU power connectors on some and add those into stock as well. Likely be a couple of weeks until all is sorted out.

Not had chance to do anymore with these over xmas... but the ST versions are in the store already in case anyone missed those..

The round up is about 20 more PSU's are tested, I still need to solder the Falcon power connectors on them yet.. but meanwhile, I just opened the second box of PSU's.. so will start testing these out today..

All the ST versions I am doing are now in stock.

https://www.exxoshost.co.uk/atari/last/storenew/#0030

I am building up the remaining ones today with the Falcon power connector on them. These will be green PCBS (not red like the ST ones) But it's the same PSU design as the red ones.

I will be supplying the Falcon PSU connector as a "optional extra" sold separately starting with the 110V Falcon PSU. So people wanting a 110V Falcon PSU, will order the "ST" PSU and buy the connector separately. The Falcon 230V PSU's will also be with separate connector once current stock is exhausted. The dedicated Falcon PSU's will then no longer be sold in my store.

This means I only have to stock 2 versions of the PSU (110V & 230V). This will save me some work in soldering and also help keep stock levels up in not having to produce as many variations. We also have issue with space storing these until they sell. So with not doing 4 variations, it should help reduce the physical space they all take up. It should also help my investment costs as I don't have to stock 4 versions. Overall from my point of view, it's going to help me out a great deal.

Mostly when one type goes out of stock, for example the Falcon 230V one, and it takes me a year to get around to doing another batch. Meanwhile, the ST 230V ones are in stock, just needs the connector. So I think this will help keep stock levels up for people also.

These are running low (and out) of stock currently. I do have about 20 more PCB's made up excluding transformers which I will start testing tomorrow hopefully. 50 transformers now are on order but will not arrive for about 1-2 weeks. It will take me a few weeks to build them up fully and re-test as well.

As mentioned above a while back, the 0094 Falcon PSU's https://www.exxoshost.co.uk/atari/last/storenew/#0094 are not being sold with the connector soldered anymore. At the time of typing there is 4 left in stock... The PSU's are the later design, not the ones as shown in my store..

The Falcon and ST connectors are sold separately, and this allows me to keep just 2 items in stock (230V & 110V versions). Though I am considering just selling 1 PSU and letting the user solder the voltage selections on the transformers themselves to allow me to keep a higher stock of just 1 item in my store.

I will start planning a new batch to follow later in the year, but I may not have time or funds to produce another batch until next year. I will shop around for best prices on parts again, though it may vary either higher or lower than the current store price , depending on costs of parts to obtain. I suspect its not going to vary either way more than about £2, but will take some time to add it all up again from various suppliers.

Thanks to all who purchased these PSU's over the past year! I will keep producing them as long as people are buying them
